Here's a couple of check-out-able LINKS.....
HENRY RAYBURN
Henry is a friend of mine from my former Peace Corp days. Truly a creative individual and genuinely nice guy.
RHYTHM STREET
My buddy Dave's band, "Rhythm Street" has been around the Detroit area for many years now and still never ceases to create a great evenings entertainment. A must see for "Blues You Can Use"
Have a great Labor Day Weekend. I'm off to the Lake.
So, How's your Summer so far........
Man, I just cannot believe it's almost Labor Day weekend already!
4th of July vacation was hectic; Jillian competed in Ms. Michigan (cudos kid) then handed the Miss SCS crown over to the next queen; the PGA at Oakland Hills was great (Padraig!!!!); the Olympics fantastic; The Dems convention just starting (yawn); the Grand Prix is this weekend and Rhythm Street is playing Saturday night at the St. Clair Shores Moose; we're heading for the lake for another weeks vakay and LLL retreat at RKD; there's a Petanque tournament at Campus Martius tonight.........it just never ends.
Life is Good! Hope yours is too.
Post Scrpt;
The Detroit Petanque Club tournament went off smoothly, thanks to Jeff's superb efforts. Congrats to the winners James and Cheryl. (See, spouses do work well together.) Unfortunately, my partner Kevin and I tied for 4th, no fault of Kevin's, who shot and pointed excellantly for a 1st year player.
The crepes from Good Girls Go To Paris Crepes and supper at Enoteca were a good start and finish for the evening. The petanque venue was good, and the weather cooperative. In all, a very nice tourney. (See http://midwestpetanquealliance.blogspot.com/ )
Again, cudos to Jeff for the hard work.
Take the day off today Jeff, and have a great holiday........ Everyone.
