Fathers Day
Greetings to all you Dads out there. Hope "Your" day was a good and relaxing one.
I spent mine doing yard stuff with the Gardensprite. Not being a Dad did not give me the perk of a day off. Well, I guess I had mine yesterday. Took the Alero in and had another brake job done and put on a new set of Firestones. My last set of tires were Bridgestone Turanzas, a 50,000 mile tire that I put 81,000 miles on. They still had tread, sort of, but were beginning to show some cracking or dry rot. I certainly got my $$$ out of them. Hope the 'Stones prove to be as good. I did not repeat with the Bridgestones because the Alero has 126,000 on it and, well, why throw good money after bad. The Firestones are a good tire.
And now a shameless plug..... If you need a set of rubber or any service for that matter, go see Paul at the Firestone/Bridgestone Service Center in West Bloomfield on Orchard Lake Road. You'll like the service and the products are the best.
Well, just a few short weeks and it will be the 4th of July weekend. Yes, the Gardensprite and I will head for the cottage.
We have a community theater play to attend that her cousin is appearing in and then, the annual Ludington fireworks display from John's elevated rear porch deck. Always a good time, good food, good friends. Life is good.

Life is good."Round about the 10th my contract with the University will be up, so I may have a few months off until October when they will renew my contract. It's all bureaucratic mumbo jumbo, so I won't bore you with the details. Just keep your fingers crossed that the economy continues to improve before Michigan becomes totally vacant.
Summer is here, Rejoice!!!!
